Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is recruiting for its Chief of Law Enforcement position, with the role based in Helena, according to a posting from the state.

The chief position oversees FWP's game warden force, which operates across all of Montana's 56 counties and handles everything from hunting and fishing license enforcement to wildlife poaching investigations and search and rescue support. It is one of the more consequential law enforcement leadership positions in state government given the scale of public lands and outdoor recreation activity in Montana.

Applications and position details are available through the state's central HR system. Residents interested in the role or in learning more about FWP's law enforcement division can visit the department's Helena headquarters on Keokuk Street.
