The Vistas at Red Fox Meadows Condo Association has received an active groundwater certificate from the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation for a well in Lewis and Clark County, according to state water rights records.
The certificate authorizes the association to draw groundwater at a flow rate of 35 gallons per minute for lawn and garden irrigation and multiple domestic uses. The permitted irrigated area covers 0.34 acres.
The certificate is currently listed as active in the state's Water Rights Query System. Water right certificates of this type are required under Montana law for any new groundwater appropriation and establish the legal priority date for the use. Residents of the Red Fox Meadows development should expect the association to use the well to maintain common area landscaping.
