The Helena High varsity volleyball team picked up a hard-fought conference road win Friday, beating the Big Sky Eagles 3-2 in Missoula. The five-set victory is the kind of result that doesn't come easy on the road in conference play, and it keeps the Bengals competitive early in the fall schedule.
Details on individual set scores and standout performers were not immediately available, but a five-set match against a conference opponent on the road signals a tested squad. The Bengals will return home with a road conference win in hand as the season moves deeper into fall.
Helena High's next home match will give fans on Last Chance Gulch a chance to see how this team looks after weathering a close road contest.
