Montana WILD, the state's fish and wildlife education center on the south end of Helena, is hosting the World Migratory Bird Day Festival on Saturday, May 2, with free admission for the family-friendly event.

The day's programming includes guided bird walks, live raptor demonstrations, build-your-own birdbox stations, nature journaling, and kids' crafts. The Last Chance Community Pow Wow and the Lewis and Clark Library Bookmobile will also be on-site as community partners.

The event is co-presented by the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest along with other partners. It runs Saturday at Montana WILD, located at 2668 Broadwater Avenue.
