The Helena Symphony will present Symphony Kids — a free education concert designed for children ages 5 through 10 — on Saturday, March 13, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. The 30-minute performance features chamber music by composers Nadia and Lili Boulanger, presented with narration and actors.
Following the concert, children are invited to try instruments hands-on at an Instrument Petting Zoo, sponsored by Piccolo's Music. A concert-only version of the program is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., according to the event listing.
The Symphony Kids series is part of the Helena Symphony's broader education programming and represents one of the most direct ways the organization reaches school-age children in the community. Families with young children looking to introduce them to live orchestral music can attend without purchasing tickets.
