The Vistas at Red Fox Meadows Condo Association has received an active groundwater certificate from the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation for a well serving a residential development in Lewis and Clark County. The certificate covers water use for lawn and garden irrigation as well as multiple domestic purposes.

The certified water right allows a flow rate of 35 gallons per minute and covers an irrigated area of 0.34 acres. The certificate is recorded as active in the state's Water Rights Query System, meaning the association is authorized to draw from the groundwater source under the terms of the permit.

Groundwater certificates are a routine part of Montana's prior appropriation water law system, which requires users to document and register water rights with the state. As development continues in the Helena valley, such filings help the DNRC track cumulative groundwater use across the region.
