Montana WILD is running a free weekly wildlife storytime series throughout October for pre-K children and younger, with sessions every Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. through October 28.

The program, called Critter Tales Wildlife Storytime, centers on Montana's so-called "spooky" species in keeping with the season. Each session pairs a book reading with a hands-on craft activity. No registration is required, making it easy for parents and caregivers to drop in.

Remaining dates are October 14, 21, and 28. Montana WILD is located off the southeast end of town and serves as the education center for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. The series is marketed through HelenEvents with support from First Interstate Bank.
