If you're looking to skip the fireworks crowds this Independence Day, Lucha Project is offering an alternative: a pro wrestling and live hip hop show at the Helena Temple on Saturday, July 4. The event, billed as Patriot Games, features a 4-on-4 main event and runs under the promotion's two-ring format.
The card also includes live performances from several Montana hip hop artists — Star Kidd, ELL, and JamRok are listed on the bill. Lucha Project has been combining professional wrestling with live music on the same card for several shows now, pulling in crowds that wouldn't necessarily overlap at either genre's standalone events.
The show is all ages, and organizers note that partial proceeds will benefit the Algeria Shriners Temple Helena. Doors and start time are available through the Helena Events Marketing listings. Given that July 4 downtown parking tends to fill early around fireworks time, organizers are pitching the show as a self-contained evening that keeps attendees off the crowded streets.
