The Alive at Five concert series returns to the Lewis & Clark Tap Room at 1535 Dodge Ave. on Wednesday, July 15, with North Fork Crossing headlining a free evening show on the Carroll College campus.

North Fork Crossing plays in the space between traditional bluegrass and the looser, improvisational territory known as Jamgrass — a blend that draws on timeless fiddle tunes and ballads while leaving room for the kind of extended instrumental runs that keep a crowd on its feet. The series has become a reliable summer fixture for Helenans looking for live music in an outdoor-friendly setting without a cover charge.

The Saints Athletic Association is the featured nonprofit for the July 15 show. Alive at Five events are free and open to the public.
