The city of Helena has been awarded a $50,000 Community Development Block Grant to support accessibility planning work by Disability Rights Montana.
City Manager Lake announced the award at a recent Helena City Commission meeting. The grant, administered through the Montana Department of Commerce under Governor Gianforte, will fund architectural reports, a feasibility study, and development of a capital improvements plan aimed at improving accessibility in the community.
Lake credited the city's community development department with securing the award.
