Every Monday in July, the lawn outside the Scott Hart Building on Sixth Avenue — directly across from the State Capitol — will host Native drumming, dancing, and a frybread fundraiser running from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the next event coming up Monday, July 13.

The Pow Wow Indian Tacos series serves as a fundraiser for the 27th Annual Last Chance Community Pow Wow, one of the signature summer events on Helena's calendar. Admission is free, and food is available for purchase. Indian tacos and frybread are the featured menu items.

The location — on the Capitol grounds in the heart of Helena's government corridor — makes the event accessible to state workers, tourists visiting the Capitol complex, and anyone moving through that part of the city on a lunch break. The Scott Hart Building lawn has served as an informal gathering space for community events in recent years.

The Last Chance Community Pow Wow has been a Helena tradition for more than two and a half decades, drawing dancers, drummers, and visitors from across the region. The Monday series is both a practical fundraiser and a way to build visibility for the main event in the weeks leading up to it.
