The Myrna Loy is screening "Roadless," a new Montana-made documentary, on Tuesday, October 27, with tickets running $7 to $10 and a question-and-answer session with the director to follow.
The film was made by Robert Lester, an adventure filmmaker and professional athlete from Butte who built his reputation with the 2024 award-winning documentary "The Columbia River Canoe Project," a 70-minute film that earned recognition on the festival circuit. "Roadless" continues in that same vein of adventure-driven, landscape-focused storytelling rooted in the Northern Rockies.
Lester is expected to be present at The Myrna Loy for the Q&A following the screening, giving Helena audiences a chance to hear directly from the filmmaker about the production.
The Myrna Loy, Helena's nonprofit arts cinema and performance space, regularly programs Montana-made films alongside its broader independent and international slate. Tickets for Tuesday's screening are available at the door and through the venue. The Myrna Loy is located on Lawrence Street.
