The Brickyard Bash is the Bray's main summer community event, designed to open the working ceramic arts campus to supporters and neighbors who may not visit during the regular studio season. The Archie Bray Foundation, founded in 1951, hosts resident artists from around the world and maintains one of the more distinctive cultural sites in Helena — the old Western Clay Manufacturing Company brickyard, with its kilns and brick structures intact.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. For Helena residents who haven't visited the Bray campus recently, the Brickyard Bash is a low-barrier way to see the grounds and catch a summer evening set from a local band.
