The Flathead County Sheriff's Office recovered a body from Flathead Lake near Bigfork on Wednesday, May 27, after receiving a report that a person was floating in the water just before noon. Sheriff Brian Heino confirmed the discovery to MTN News, saying law enforcement and search and rescue crews responded to the scene.

Heino said the report came in at 11:28 a.m. Officers confirmed the person was deceased upon arrival.
