Three items related to the Trinity Center development — undeveloped land north of Lowe's and behind Target on Sanders and Jordan Drive — were tabled to April 6, 2026, at the applicant's request. The items included first passage of a prezoning to B2 General Commercial prior to annexation, along with two related public hearing items. No commissioner objected to the delay.
Planner Alvarez explained that as a minor subdivision, the Trinity Center items carry a 35-day turnaround requirement from sufficiency review, which drove the original meeting date. The applicant and their representatives were unavailable for Monday's meeting and requested the continuance. If ultimately approved, the prezoning would designate the property — legally described as Tract A1A1 of Amended Plat No. 33430211 in the west half of Section 17, Township 10 North, Range 3 West — as B2 General Commercial upon annexation into the city and amend the official zoning map.
The Trinity Center property represents one of the more significant pending commercial zoning decisions along the north Helena commercial corridor. The commission is expected to take up the items at its April 6 meeting.
