The Montana Performing Arts Consortium is bringing its 2026 Artist Showcase and Conference to Helena for the first time in decades, and every seat in the house is free. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 at the Helena Civic Center, featuring 17 world-class touring artists performing on a single stage over the course of one day.
MPAC is a statewide organization that connects performing arts presenters — venues, festivals, and cultural organizations across Montana — with touring artists. The annual showcase is the event where that matchmaking happens, and opening it to the public gives Helena residents a rare look at the caliber of talent that circulates through the professional touring circuit.
The fact that the showcase is returning to Helena after what organizers describe as decades away is itself notable. The Civic Center, which sits near the Capitol complex, is one of the larger indoor venues in the city and capable of hosting the scale of event MPAC is planning. Admission is free and open to the public on October 17.
