The Helena High Bengals varsity soccer team dropped a lopsided 7-0 result to the Hellgate Knights on Friday, September 12, in a away conference match that wasn't close from the opening whistle.
Hellgate came to Helena and left with a commanding win, outscoring the Bengals by seven goals in what amounts to one of the more difficult results of the young conference season. No scoring details or individual stat lines were available from the match report.
The loss puts Helena High in a tough spot early in conference play. How the Bengals respond in their next scheduled match will go a long way toward determining whether Friday was an outlier or a sign of things to come.
