York Fest is back Saturday, September 19, bringing a free, family-friendly celebration to the small community of York, tucked into the mountains northeast of Helena along the Hauser Lake Road corridor. The event runs through the day and features live music, local vendors, food, and community organizations — the kind of gathering that York pulls off well for a town with no stoplight.

York sits about 20 miles from Last Chance Gulch, close enough for a day trip but far enough to feel like a different Montana. The festival draws a mix of York locals and Helena-area families looking for an easy outdoor Saturday with something to do for all ages.

Admission is free. Organizers encourage visitors to support the local vendors and businesses on site.
