Montana Free Press has launched a 2026 Election Guide designed to help voters across the state navigate federal, statewide, and legislative races on the June 2 primary ballot and the November general election. The guide is searchable by address and shows voters which specific races appear on their ballot.

For Helena-area voters, the guide identifies races including the U.S. Senate contest, the Eastern Congressional District Democratic primary, a three-way Republican primary for Public Service Commission District 5, and state House and Senate district races. The outlet notes that the state Supreme Court race will send both candidates to the general election ballot regardless of primary results, because Montana Supreme Court races are nonpartisan.

Ballots for the June 2 primary are scheduled to be distributed to Lewis and Clark County voters in early May. The election guide will remain active through the November general election on Nov. 3. Voters can access it at montanafreepress.org.
