Helena voters will have a chance to meet candidates over a plate of food Thursday evening at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds. "Grazing with the Elephants" — a free, informal candidate forum — runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Rustic Shelter, giving residents a low-key opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from people on the ballot.
The event is organized around conversation rather than formal debate, with candidates on hand to discuss their campaigns and their reasons for running. Organizers are asking attendees to RSVP so candidates have a sense of the crowd.
Free admission. The Rustic Shelter is located at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds off North Roberts Street.
