Two of Helena's most recognizable community organizations are settling things the old-fashioned way — on stage, in front of a crowd that gets to decide who wins.

Grandstreet Theatre and 4-H of Lewis and Clark County will face off in a musical battle on Saturday, October 10, at 7:00 p.m. at Exhibition Hall at the Helena Fairgrounds. The event is hosted by the Helena Fairgrounds Foundation, and the audience will serve as judge and jury.

The format puts two institutions that don't normally compete against each other into direct, good-natured rivalry. Grandstreet is Helena's long-running community theater, and 4-H of Lewis and Clark County has deep roots in the region's youth programming. What their musical showdown will look like in practice is part of the draw — tickets and additional details are expected through the Helena Fairgrounds Foundation.
