Grandstreet Theatre is staging Guys and Dolls Jr. this season, bringing the classic Broadway musical's gamblers, showgirls, and 1950s New York atmosphere to Helena's own Walking Mall neighborhood institution.
The production is a youth-focused adaptation of the Frank Loesser original, which has been a staple of American musical theatre since its 1950 Broadway debut. Guys and Dolls Jr. keeps the show's most recognizable numbers — including "Luck Be a Lady" and "Sit Down, John" — while scaling the production for younger performers. Grandstreet has built its reputation over decades on exactly this kind of work: giving Helena kids a serious stage and a professional production behind them.
Performance dates and ticket information are available through Grandstreet Theatre's box office. The theatre is located on Last Chance Gulch and has been a cornerstone of Helena's arts community since 1971.
