The Vistas at Red Fox Meadows Condo Association has filed a groundwater certificate with the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation for a water right in Lewis and Clark County, according to state water rights records. The certificate, now listed as active, covers groundwater use for lawn and garden irrigation and multiple domestic purposes.

The certificate authorizes a flow rate of 35 gallons per minute and covers an irrigated area of 0.34 acres. Groundwater certificates of this type are issued by the DNRC to document and legally establish water rights for users drawing from wells or other subsurface sources, as distinct from surface water rights.

Helena-area residents can look up water right filings through the DNRC's Water Rights Query System, which maintains public records of all active, filed, and terminated water rights in Montana. The Red Fox Meadows filing reflects ongoing residential development in Lewis and Clark County and the water rights documentation that accompanies it.
