Lewis and Clark County Sends Absentee Ballot Envelopes to Printer Without Trump's Voter Barcodes

Lewis and Clark County and dozens of other Montana counties moved ahead this week with printing return envelopes for absentee ballots, opting not to include the individual voter barcodes that are central to President Donald Trump's mail screening initiative. With today marking the hard deadline for sending envelope designs to printers, elections officials across all 56 Montana counties didn't wait for the courts to sort out the president's plan.
